ENSURE NO PROPERTY REGISTRATION WITHOUT NOC IN UNAUTHORIZED COLONIES- DC ASKS SUB REGISTRARS
SAYS, REGISTRATION WITHOUT NOCs WOULD INVITE STRICT ACTION AGAINST ERRING OFFICIALS
JALANDHAR, MAY 27- (CEV TECHNO NEWS): In compliance with the recent orders issued by the revenue department, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori today asked all the sub registrars of the district to ensure no property registration is done with respect to unauthorized colonies until No Objection Certificate (NOC) was issued by the competent authority.
Divulging the details, the DC said that the revenue department has issued fresh orders directing all the sub registrars to strictly adhere to these guidelines by refusing property registration of illegal/unauthorized colonies that lack a NOC from the authority concerned. He said that the illegal colonies are not only causing a huge revenue loss to the state exchequer but also a fraud being inflicted on the people.
He also mentioned that these illegal colonies are resulting in haphazard urbanization where residents suffer problems due to the lack of basic infrastructure like electricity, road, drinking water, and sewerage system besides others, whereby the revenue department has issued directions to all its officers to immediately put an end to the registration of sale deeds of properties pertaining to illegal colonies until the competent authority issues NOC. Likewise, any kind of ownership transfer shall also remain prohibited until further orders.
Mr. Thori categorically mentioned that any derivation from these orders may translate into strict departmental action as laxity in this task would be highly unwarranted. He said that all the sub registrars in the district must strictly comply with these orders and refrain from executing sale deeds in illegal/unauthorized colonies.
