CEV ORGANISED WORKSHOP TECHNO LEGAL ASPECT ON VALUATION AT MANGALORE

‘TECHNO LEGAL WORKSHOP’ ON VALUATION ORGANIZED BY COUNCIL OF ENGINEERS AND VALUERS AT MANGALORE

‘Techno Legal workshop’ on Valuation organized by Council of Engineers and Valuers, Mangaluru chapter in association with Manipal Institute of Technology at Manipal on Saturday, 11th November 2023.

One one-day workshop was organized to train professional engineers and consultants who are running civil engineering and architecture to update the latest in the field of Civil Engineering, Banking and Architecture, and Legal. Manipal Institute of Technology Dept of Civil Engineering in association with the Council of Engineers & Valuers Mangalore Chapter organised this workshop.

I appreciate the effort and involvement of academia and Infrastructure industry experts for taking all dynamic steps to train future civil engineers towards techno and legal knowledge and assured that MIT will provide all facilities to organize such meaning program – said Dr. Anil Rana, Director MIT Manipal, inaugurating and addressing at TECHNO LEGAL ASPECTS OF VALUATION workshop for working and practicing civil engineers, architects, consultants and students at Dept of Civil Engineering, MIT Manipal.

Dr. (Comdr.) Anil Rana, Director, MIT, Manipal said India is progressing in all fronts especially economics and Valuers have great role in shaping India’s economy’. He said the Seminar is in the right direction and expressed his happiness in collaborating with CEV who have hands on experience in Valuation and they have come forward to share their experience with the students of engineering of MIT.


Valuer, Kishore Rao (Chairman, CEV, Mangaluru chapter) convenor of the workshop presented the Institutional membership to the Director of MIT and expressed his willingness to share the hands on experience with future engineers of MIT in future too.

Senior Advocate Ranjan Rao, Valuer Arun Kumar, Valuer Sandeep Iddya, Valuer Sudheeindra Chitrapura, Engineer Sudheer were the faculties for the Work Shop. Valuer Sathish Rao Iddya, Patro CEV Mangaluru, guided the workshop. Valuer Ravindranath Treasurer, CEV Mangaluru and Professor MIT proposed the Vote of Thanks.

Anil Rana, Director Manipal Institute of Technology Manipal MAHE ManipalTechno- legal consultancy is a specialized form of lawful accessing that focuses on the intersection of technology and regulation. It encompasses providing intelligence on legal matters relating to the use of technology in business and industry. In developed countries, they are liable and accountable for providing professional legal guidance to businesses and individuals. In recent years India is rushing towards techno legal awareness and training programs.

Prof. Ravindranath Bhat a senior civil valuer and faculty from the Department of Civil Engineering Department organized this workshop and delivered a welcome address, along with Dr Kiran Kamath, Head Skill and Development & Consultancy Centre, Dept of Civil Engineering, and Dr Raghavendra Holla, Assistant Director Planning and projects MIT Manipal rendered vote of thanks. Dr Chaitra M rendered the innovation and the program was anchored by Dr Sugandhini Kudwa.


The workshop also included technical talks on Legal aspects in civil engineering fields and Legal teams which covered topics on globalization, the corporate business, in-house legal consultation, Tax, intellectual property protection, environmental protection, competition law, corporate taxation, infrastructure contracts, corporate governance, etc., Workshop was also followed with technical discussion and sharing hands-on experience on various problems associated legal issues on building and site evaluations.

More than 100 participants which included Students, Valuers, Lawyers, Bank officials and teaching staff of MIT Civil department.

A certificate of Institutional membership of COUNCIL of ENGINEERS & VALUERS, was handed over to Dr Anil Rana, Director MIT Manipal by Er. Kishor Rao, Chairman, Council of Engineers and Valuers-Mangalore chapter, along with Mr. Ranjan Rao, Advacate and member of Council of Engineers and Valuers, Mangalore Chapter on behalf of CEV Headquarters.
