City Lights: Gaursons buys 300 acres of land from Jaypee for Rs 1500 crore

Realty firm Gaursons India on Friday said it has bought 300 acre on Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida from Jaypee group for more than Rs 1,500 crore to develop an integrated township. The Ghaziabad-based company will launch the township by the end of this year and plans to construct about 15,000 apartments in affordable segment. Jaypee Group has a land bank of 6,000 acres on Yamuna Expressway on the stretch from Noida to Agra. The saleable area of the five townships alongside Yamuna Expressway stands at 530 million sq ft. So far,it has sold over 50 million sq ft.Delhi to get tout-free,seamless property registration system In a major revamp of existing property registration system,Delhi Government will put in place a transparent mechanism by end of the year under which people will be able to access hassle-free services in all 13 sub-registrar offices without any jurisdictional issue. The aim of the ambitious project — first of its kind in the country — is to offer people a tout-free and seamless property registration experience through a highly secured online platform,which will replace the six-decade-old current system. Under the new mechanism,people from any area of the city will be able to get their properties registered in any one of the 13 sub-registrar offices and they will even be able to check genuineness of the properties as well as ownership details and past transactions. all the 13 sub-registrar offices will be linked through an online portal through which people will also be able to check ownership details and past transaction of properties. The online portal will have an online fee calculator besides having details about stamp duties and other required documents for property registration.Delhi’s Connaught Place sees maximum 12% rise in retail rentals: ReportRetail space rentals in Delhi’s high street Connaught Place have appreciated by 12 per cent,the most among the country’s top eight cities during the January-March period over the previous quarter,according to property consultant Cushman & Wakefield. Mumbai’s prime street Linking Road,on the other hand,witnessed the sharpest drop of 12 per cent in rentals. “ The prime main street of Connaught Place (inner circle) in NCR recorded the maximum rise of 12 per cent in rentals owing to supply constraints coupled with renewed interest from international brands,” C&W said. The average monthly rentals there stood at Rs 725 per sq ft.
