Leading private sector life insurer ’s participating policy bonus for FY21 increased 10% YoY to Rs. 867 crore. This is the highest bonus ever declared by the company, the company said on Monday.

A total of 9.8 lakh participating policyholders will be eligible to claim their share of this bonus. Policyholder bonus is the share of profits generated by the company’s participating funds which are added to customer’s guaranteed maturity benefits.

Prudential. “What drives us in this challenging environment is the commitment to our vision of building an enduring institution that serves the protection and long-term saving needs of our customers with sensitivity.”

According to the company, this is ICICI Prudential’s 15th consecutive year declaring bonus. As of March 31, 2021, 96.8% of the fixed income portfolio is invested in sovereign or AAA rated paper, the firm added.

As on March 31, 2021, the company had assets under management of Rs 2.14 lakh crore and a total sum assured of Rs 20.3 lakh crore.
