GOVERNMENT WILL GIVE RELIEF TO THE PEOPLE TO GET THE HOUSE MAPS PASSED: NIJJAR
IF ILLEGAL CONSTRUCTION HAS TAKEN PLACE OR GOVERNMENT LAND IS OCCUPIED THEN IT WILL NOT BE PASSED IN THE SCHEME.
Jalandhar, January 30: In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party is preparing to give big relief to the people of the state. Local Body Minister Dr. Indrabir Nijjar, who reached Jalandhar, has said that soon the government is bringing a policy under which there will be no need to get the map passed on residential plots up to 500 yards and residential plots up to 250 yards will be approved under the One Time Settlement Policy. Will be done.
Manifestation of these words on Monday Dr. Indrabir Nijjar while talking to reporters at Circuit House. State Secretary Rajwinder Kaur, MLA Raman Arora, MLA Sheetal Angural and 7 other leaders were present with him on this occasion. Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the AAP government is soon going to bring a scheme under which there will be no need to pass the map for construction on plots up to 500 yards. For construction, only the approved map attested by architect will be valid, the map of the house will not have to be passed from Municipal Corporation.
The approved architect will submit the map and he himself will attest that the map is as per the norms. A week’s time will be fixed in the Municipal Corporation. Employees will verify on the spot and the person can do construction after a week.
No need to get building plan passed: Nijjer

Local Bodies Minister Inderbir S Nijjar said from March onwards his ministry is set to bring in a reform as per which getting the building plan passed from the MC would no longer be a pre-requisite for starting the construction work in a residential plot of area less than 500 sq yards
-
“The MC approved architect would have to submit the plan for which he will have to give an undertaking that the construction would be done as per bylaws. The applicant will have to wait for a week during which an officer will check the site. Then on, the construction could be started,” he said

He added that we would also introduce a one-time settlement plan for owners of houses in area less than 250 sq yards allowing them to get their plans passed if they have done some compoundable violations
Dr. Nijjar said that there are many people in the state whose houses are built in 250 yards, but due to lack of maps, they neither get loans from banks, nor do they face problems in the registry. To give great relief to such people, the government is planning that houses up to 250 yards, whose maps are not available, should be approved under the One Time Settlement Policy.
Dr. Nijjar made it clear that if illegal construction has taken place or government land is occupied, it will not be passed in the scheme. If there is a slight encroachment in the residence, such as a room is small or big, then it will be passed by imposing some fine or the other. Dr. Nijjar said that it will be ensured that illegal construction does not take place. There should be no corruption. For this, the maps submitted by the architect from time to time, the officers and employees who do on-the-spot verification should be cross-verified.
