RC Bhargava, chairman of Maruti Suzuki, has a candid confession to make — that India’s No. 1 carmaker didn’t expect the SUV market to grow so fast.“We might have been a little bit delayed. We were engaged in converting our models to meet the BS-VI deadline. But we have more models than anybody else. That meant much more engineering work than anybody else had to do.
