FIR AGAINST PROPERTY VALUER ,BANK MANAGER & 7 OTHERS FOR FRAUD
BANK VALUER BOOKED FOR PROVIDING LOWER VALUATION FOR A NPA CASE
BHOPAL MADHYA PRADESH-(05-10-2023):- Kolar Police has registered a case under sections of fraud, breach of trust and criminal conspiracy against the family of an IAS officer, the bank manager and 7 people in connection with the fraudulent sale of land worth more than Rs 30 crore by a bank manager for Rs 7.50 crore have taken. This case has been registered on the orders of the court. The accused had manipulated the value of the mortgaged land of a private college operator and auctioned it at a low price.
Police station in-charge Kolar Ashutosh Upadhyay said that Aditya Bhatnagar is the director of a private educational institution. He had mortgaged the land of village Banjari Kolar to a government bank branch in TT Nagar in 2010, at that time the bank had estimated its value at around Rs 13 crore, there was no encumbrance on the land in January 2016, after which it became NPA in March 2016.
After which in 2021-2022, the bank reduced the price of the land and auctioned it for Rs 7.5 crore. Whereas at that time the price of this land was Rs 30-31 crore. On this, the complainant has filed the said case in the court, on which the court had given instructions to register an FIR against the bank official who auctioned the land and the accused who purchased it.
FIR lodged against these people – Bank of Baroda branch manager R. Bhatia, property valuer M. Gupta, recovery agent A. Ahmed, S. Pachauri, S. Aggarwal, M. Gupta, S. Dehariya and R. Chaudhary. Most of the accused are wives and daughters of government officials.
