PVAI VALUATION PROFESSIONAL ORGANISATION

CEP SESSION

Saturday, 17th Dec. 2022, 2pm-7pm
Venue: Zone Connect, Coimbatore

Dear Valuers,

I am very happy to inform you that PVAI has organized first offline program after long time due to pandemic in Coimbatore. The topic of this program is very much needed in today’s scenario due to large competition and recent developments in valuation profession.

Many valuers are becoming scapegoats at the hands of bankers and facing FIR, Legal complications, police and CBI investigations. As a professional valuer we are not aware of the civil and criminal laws related to financial irregularities with the banks and financial institutions for whom we are generally rendering our services.

Many members have reported issues related to bank putting their names in FIR without any deep investigation OR depaneled without following the procedure laid down by the IBA. ‘Conflict Resolution Committee (CRC) thereby Valuer’s are not given any opportunity to justify their findings. There are many such situations when the principle of natural justice is denied to the Valuers and police or CBI cases and lodged in the courts.

This is high time we should start in the attacking mode rather than defensive when we face actions like Police FIR or depanelment from banks.

With this brief background PVAI has decided to educate & prepare our members to tackle & fight back in such legal situations.

PVAI has invited a very reputed and knowledgeable personality and Advocate Mr. Pradeep Ingole from Mumbai who is also happens to be Architect and Govt. registered valuer in the past to deliver the expert talk. He has been advocating the profession from past and always stand against the injustice with the member. He is going to talk on “How a valuer can tackle the cognizable FIR” with moot court.

I request all the Valuers & members to attend this very important program in large numbers to upgrade their legal knowledge. I hope all the PVAI members /non members will be benefited from this CEP and will share their knowledge and contribute for better cause of the professional practice at National level.

Best Regards,

Sunil D. Bhor,
President, PVAI.
