JDA DEMOLISHES ILLEGAL COLONY AT VILLAGE DHADDA, NOTICE ISSUED AGAINST COLONIZER- DC GHANSHYAM THORI
SUB REGISTRAR ASKED TO STOP PROPERTY REGISTRATION BELONGING TO THIS COLONY
JALANDHAR, MAY 28- ( CEV TECHNO NEWS ): Tightening the noose around mushrooming of illegal colonies, Jalandhar Development Authority (JDA) on the directions of Deputy Commissioner-Cum-Chief Administrator Ghanshyam Thori has demolished an unauthorized colony at village Dhadda.
Divulging the details, the Deputy Commissioner said that a drive against the illegal colonies have been launched in the district wherein stringent action is being taken against such offenders. He further added that the notice has also been issued against the colonizer seeking explanation for this illegal act, following which appropriate action would be initiated by the authorities.
He also said that the JDA has also informed the Sub Registrar about the action against the colony at village Dhadda so that property registration pertaining to this illegal colony could be stopped with immediate effect. He also said that the revenue department has taken serious note of mushrooming illegal colonies, thereby directing the sub-registrar to not execute sale deeds until a No Objection Certificate (NOC) is issued by the authorities.
The DC said that illegal/unauthorized colonies are not only causing a huge revenue loss to the state exchequer but also a fraud being inflicted on the people as residents of these colonies suffer problems due to the lack of basic infrastructure like electricity, road, drinking water, sewerage system besides others. The violations of these orders would be highly unwarranted and strict action to be taken against the erring officials, he added. The DC also noted that the orders were being issued to police department to register FIRs against the colonizers who have not got their colonies regularized under the regularization policy of the state government.
