Reliance Retail, the retail arm of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), will acquire a majority stake of 66.95 per cent in B2B search engine JustDial. Reliance Retail shall be classified as a promoter of JustDial post this deal. RRVL would hold 40.95 per cent stakes in the company, as per the definite agreements executed on July 16, and would make an open offer to acquire up to 26.0 percent in accordance with the takeover regulations, a press release stated. As per the agreement finalised between the two companies, VSS Mani would continue to lead Just Dial as its managing director and chief executive officer.
