Kurukshetra University and TERii Kurukshetra jointly organized a Webinar on Role & Responsibilities of Stakeholders amidst COVID-19 second strain

A one-day National Webinar on “Role and Responsibilities of Higher Education Stakeholders amid Second Strain of Covid-19” was jointly organized by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, and TERii, Kurukshetra. The program began with Saraswati Vandana by a student of TERii, Kurukshetra. Among the keynote speakers on the occasion were Dr. S.N. Sachdeva, Worthy Vice-Chancellor, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Registrar, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Dr. Sujay Nair President iNurture Education Pvt. Limited, Bengaluru, Dr. Neera Verma Professor Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Er. Aditya Gupta Secretary TERii Kurukshetra and Dr. Sagar Gulati, Director TERii, Kurukshetra. All the speakers present discussed in one voice the challenges of tackling the pandemic and ways to overcome them through joint efforts. People associated with higher education emphasized what role they currently have and their important roles in the future.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. S.N. Sachdeva said that all higher educational institutions should come forward and cooperate with the local administration. Classrooms and other resources have to be converted into Covid centers and this is also happening. We have to defeat corona in any case so we have to learn to live with it and NSS Volunteers and professors are playing an important role.

Dr. Tewari, Professor N.I.T. Kurukshetra praised the organizers and said that the joint efforts of the government and various institutions will win this battle against Covid as well as improve GDP as well as the quality of GDP under the Self-Reliant India Campaign. Dr. Sujay Nair President iNurture Education Pvt. Limited Bengaluru said that after the epidemic, the changing nature of the world will become ‘PhysiTal’ by incorporating both the physical world and the digital world and that will be the key to success in the future. Dr. Neera Verma said that education is the most powerful medium in the world and both our teachers and students together can play a positive role in tackling this epidemic. Dr. Sagar Gulati spoke on the global impact of education and emphasized finding new ways & parameters for student recruitment and examination patterns.

The webinar discussed several other important issues including the usefulness of education in addressing the challenges of the present and future which have a direct or indirect impact on human life. Er. Aditya Gupta Secretary TERii Kurukshetra deliver a vote of thanks and said that TERii Sansthan is making every effort to fulfill its social responsibilities in this epidemic and stands with the needy of the society on every front. Er. Sudhir Kumar, Principal, Polytechnic, TERii as a Convener, coordinated the webinar in a very smooth way. Prof. Parul Chutani did efficient conduct of webinar. Dr.Pawan Kumar Sharma Professor Kurukshetra University, Dr. Hitendra Tyagi and four hundred plus No. of Students were also present in the webinar. The program concluded with the national song Vandemataram.
