FIRST TIME IN MAY, BED OCCUPANCY REACHES BELOW 1000 MARK IN JALANDHAR: DC

URGES PEOPLE TO VOLUNTEER FOR IMMUNIZATION IN MAXIMUM NUMBERS TO WIN OVER THIS BATTLE

Jalandhar, May 24(TECHNO NEWS): With the Covid-19 pandemic is on a downward trend, for the first time during this month the bed occupancy in Covid care facilities has reduced to below the mark of 1000 in Jalandhar district.

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that on May 15, 2021, as many as 1226 beds were occupied in the district, which has now decreased to 984 in only nine days. He mentioned that there has been an increase in the bed occupancy till May 15, 2021 afterward it started declining.

While visiting a vaccination camp in Shivani Park, Model Town, the DC urged people to join this vaccination drive in huge numbers as it is the only effective weapon to contain the virus spread. He said that the possible third wave could be tackled with maximum vaccination of masses, which in turn would develop herd immunity among people.

The DC lauded the role of health care and frontline workers rendering their restless services round the clock to ensure the safety of the people. He said that let’s not lower our guard and strictly observe Covid appropriate behavior in letter and spirit to keep the virus at bay.

The deputy commissioner also added that a special drive to cover all the villages in the Jalandhar district has been initiated by the administration where door-to-door screening of suspected symptomatic patients was being done by the authorities. He appealed to the rural folk to participate in this war against the Covid-19 pandemic by coming forward for vaccination and RT-PCR testing.

जालंधर में पहली बार मई महीने में बैंडो की संख्या 1000 से नीचे : डिप्टी कमिश्नर

लोगों से कहा , इस जंग को जीतने के लिए अधिक से अधिक लोग टीकाकरण करवाए

जालंधर, 24 मई (TECHNO NEWS): कोविड -19 महामारी चलते, मई महीने के दौरान पहली बार जालंधर जिले में कोविड बैंडो की संख्या घटकर 1000 से नीचे आ गई है।

इस बारे में जानकारी देते हुए डिप्टी कमिश्नर घनश्याम थोरी ने कहा कि 15 मई 2021 को जिले में 1226 बैंड मरीजों से भरे हुए थे, जो अब केवल नौ दिनों में कम होकर 984 हो गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि 15 मई, 2021 तक बैंड भरने में वृद्धि हुई है, लेकिन  उसके बाद यह कम होने लगी।

मॉडल टाउन के शिवानी पार्क में एक टीकाकरण कैंप का दौरा करते हुए, डिप्टी कमिश्नर ने लोगों से बड़ी गिनती में इस टीकाकरण अभियान का हिस्सा बनने के लिए कहा, क्योंकि यह वायरस को फैलने से रोकने का एक हथियार है। उन्होंने कहा कि संभावित तीसरी लहर से टीकाकरण करवाने से ही बचा जा सकता है ,क्योंकि इससे रोगों से लडने की क्षमता बढ जाती है ।

डिप्टी कमिश्नर ने लोगों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए 24 घंटे अपनी सेवाएं प्रदान करने वाले स्वास्थ्य देखभाल और फ्रंट लाईन वर्करों के काम की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि कोविड संबंधी लापरवाही न की जाएं और वायरस से बचाव के लिए कोविड प्रोटोकाल की सख्ती से पालन करें।

डिप्टी कमिश्नर ने यह भी कहा कि प्रशासन द्वारा जालंधर जिले के सभी गांवों को कवर करने के लिए एक विशेष अभियान शुरू किया गया है, जहां अधिकारियों द्वारा शकी मरीजों के घर-घर जांच की जा रही है। उन्होंने गाँव निवासियों से अपील की कि वे टीकाकरण और आरटी-पीसीआर परीक्षण के लिए आगे आकर कोविड -19 महामारी के खिलाफ इस जंग का हिस्सा बनें।
