Jalandhar, May 19 (TECHNO NEWS): Acting tough against the black-marketing of drugs required for the Covid-19 -treatment, District Administration Jalandhar on Wednesday asked the local police authority to launch an FIR against a person allegedly involved in black-marketing of Remdesivir injections.

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that a complaint was received from Ms. Reema Guglani against a person namely Luv Mehra for hoarding these injections. After a preliminary inquiry, the allegations against the accused were found to be true prima facie, he said, adding that the recommendation for lodging an FIR under Epidemic Disease Act and Disaster Management Act has been made to the police department.

The DC reiterated his firm commitment to ensuring best of the medical services amid this pandemic and urged people to bring such sort of malpractices and overcharging in the knowledge of district administration through WhatsApp at 9888981881, 9501799068 with proof so that stern action could be initiated against the perpetrators of such heinous crime. He also mentioned that the complainant would be rewarded by the administration in case their evidence against black-marketing led to the registration of an FIR against offenders.
