Question from a fellow valuer:
Dear Sir,
I am a beginner in valuation, and I am currently preparing for the IBBI exam. Please advise me on the easiest ways to pass the examination, considering you have experience with the IBBI exam.
Opinion:
First of all, remember this:
1. There is no lift to success; you must climb the staircase of learning.
2. It is a difficult exam, but it is possible to pass. Some people clear it on their first attempt, while few may take up to 20 attempts or more.
3. However, here are some useful tips:
4. Study the material provided by your RVF thoroughly. If you don’t understand it the first time, study it a second, third, and even a fourth time until you grasp the basics.
5. Go through the multiple-choice questions thoroughly until you master both the questions and the correct answers.
6. Develop the habit of understanding and reviewing the questions, and then write out the correct answers.
7. Make sure you fully understand each multiple-choice question before attempting to answer.
8. Combining your study with other aspirants is preferable.
9. Hard work and perseverance are essential for anyone aiming to become a successful valuer.
10. Make sure to attempt several mock tests before sitting for the actual exam.
11. Don’t attempt any question without confidence. If, by chance, you are not successful on your first attempt, don’t lose heart. Keep practising, study well, and you will succeed next time.
Remember always:
Success often comes to those who dare and act; and seldom it goes to timids
With best wishes,
