A Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) is a professional who holds a certification from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) to perform business valuations

This designation requires a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience and passing a comprehensive exam to help determine, defend and maximize a company’s value

CVAs provide critical services such as appraising businesses for mergers, sales or other financial purposes by examining costs, risks, industry trends and other financial metrics
