FORCE CLUB EXCELS AT VIBGYOR 2025 WITH BRIDGE-O-MANIA AND BRICK LAYING TRIUMPHS
BATHINDA (TECHNO REPORTER) 01/03/2025: The FORCE CLUB of the Civil Engineering Department at Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology (BFCET) showcased remarkable success by organizing two technical events, Bridge-o-Mania and Brick Laying, as part of Technoworld during the prestigious International Fest Vibgyor 2025 held at Baba Farid Group of Institutions, Bathinda.
The event attracted enthusiastic participation from students representing esteemed institutions such as Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sangrur, Chandigarh University, Guru Kashi University (Talwandi Sabo), GNA University (Jalandhar), and several other colleges. Participants engaged actively, displaying technical skills, teamwork, and innovation, contributing to the event’s overwhelming success. The main sponsor of the Technoworld event was Excellence Technology, with Novem Controls sponsoring Bridge-o-Mania and Wonder Cement sponsoring Brick Laying.
In the Brick Laying competition, Dalbeer Singh, a 6th-semester student from BFCET’s Civil Engineering Department, clinched the 1st position and received a cash prize of INR 5100 for his outstanding craftsmanship. The 2nd position in Brick Laying was secured by Abhishek Sharma, an 8th-semester student from BFCET’s Civil Engineering Department, who received a cash prize of INR 3100.
Meanwhile, in the Bridge-o-Mania competition, a team comprising Dilpreet Singh, Mandeep Singh, and Lakhveer Singh, students from the 2nd and 6th semesters of BFCET’s Civil Engineering Department, secured the 1st position, earning a cash prize of INR 5100 for their innovative bridge design. The 2nd position in Bridge-o-Mania was claimed by students from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sangrur, who also received a cash prize of INR 3100.
Students shared their positive experiences, highlighting the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on exposure, strengthen teamwork skills, and network with peers from diverse institutions. The event provided invaluable insights into practical engineering challenges and collaborative problem-solving.
The successful execution of these events was led under the guidance of Er. Mandeep Kaur and Mr. Sagar Sardana, Event Coordinators of Bridge-o-Mania, Er. Anish Tayal and Er. Naveen Thakur, Event Coordinators of Brick Laying, along with Er. Ravneet Singh Sidhu, FORCE CLUB Incharge, and Er. Tanu, Head of the Civil Engineering Department.
Principal Dr. Jayoti Bansal praised the dedicated efforts of the organizing team and congratulated the winners for their outstanding achievements.
The Vibgyor 2025 fest, held on February 22 and 23, served as a dynamic platform for students to demonstrate technical expertise and foster connections among emerging engineers from across the region.
