After arrest in connection with a crime, the police may ask us for name, address, personal details.

Once arrested, since the accused falls in E category, the police cannot ask us anything that can be used as a confession of any crime.

We have the right to remain silent after the arrest, the police cannot answer. 

The police will have to produce him before the judicial magistrate within 24 hours of arrest.

Arrested person can complain to magistrate about police excesses and misbehavior

The police cannot beat you or torture you under any circumstances and cannot use undue force even for arrest. Any beating or indecent behavior by the police is a crime. You can sue the police for this. It also becomes a case of human rights violation.  You can also go to court against the police.
