SAYS, FAST-TRACK REGULATORY APPROVALS ARE BEING GRANTED TO INVESTORS THROUGH DBIIP
JALANDHAR, MAY 24th MAY- (CEV TECHNO NEWS): Reiterating his firm commitment to further strengthening the ease of doing business in Jalandhar, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori today once again called upon investors to make Jalandhar their business destination as an elaborate mechanism has already been put in place to provide them fast-track regulatory approvals from ten key departments with respect to opening new industries.
Participating in a virtual review meeting chaired by CEO Invest Punjab Mr. K.K. Yadav, the DC said that the district administration was striving hard to ensure the best the facilities for investors in Jalandhar.
He further added that the District Bureau of Industry & Investment Promotion (DBIIP) has been set up to fast-track the regulatory approvals from ten key departments with regard to opening new industries, which has proved to be a boon for the investors as the nodal officers across key departments meet on every Tuesday at DBIIP to grant regulatory approvals, said the deputy commissioner adding that so far the Jalandhar DBIIP has conducted as many as 25 sessions.
Mr. Thori stated that in case, any investor wants to meet the official concerns of the ten departments including DTP, Municipal Corporation, Deputy Director Factories, PPCB, PSPCL, Department of Forest and Wildlife, Public Works Department, Department of Taxation, Department of Industries & Commerce, and Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation, they can join the bureau meeting held with all ten nodal officers in the room number 314, third floor, District Administrative Complex, Jalandhar.

Pointing out further, Senior Consultant Jalandhar DBIIP Stephen SJS said that during the last financial year Jalandhar was among the top districts in terms of improving ease of doing business.
The Jalandhar had outperformed in many aspects including total numbers of applications received through the business first portal, applications approved within the timeline, average time taken for regulatory clearance, and user rating score. He said that this year more concerted efforts would be made in making Jalandhar a leading district in industrial and investment promotions.
