On account of centenary (100 years) celebration of Lucknow University, Amiruddaula Islamia Degree College, Lucknow, UP and Science-Tech Institute, Lucknow, UP have jointly organized National Conference on Advancements in Interdisciplinary Research (NCAIR-2021) for faculty members, research scholars and students of all the disciplines in the country and abroad. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic an e-platform was chosen for the scientific community to share their ideas and research through a 3-day National Conference on Advancements in Interdisciplinary Research (NCAIR-2021) Conference which included Award Ceremony, Keynote lectures, Invited lectures, Oral presentations and Poster presentations. The Award winners & the invited speakers were experts in their area of specialization. The Award categories were – Best Director/Principal, Best Researcher/Young Researcher, Best Scientist/Young Scientist, Best Faculty/Young Faculty.
Amiruddaula Islamia Degree College, Lucknow has a distinct place among the chosen few Educational Institutions of Lucknow, the city of learning and culture. Initially started as an Arabic Madrasa around 1894, became a High School in the year 1916 and an Intermediate College in the year 1942, was elevated to the status of Degree College in 1991, started with B.A. classes in 1991-92, setup B. Com classes in 1993-94 and B.Sc. Course in 1996-97. The College is presently imparting education to the “students of nursery to graduation with separate section for girls up to Intermediate level. The College Society was registered on 11-02-1918 with Honourable Raja Sir Mohd. Ali Mohd. Khan, Taluqdar of Mehmodabad, Moulvi Sayed Nabiullah, Bar-at-Law, Honourable Mirza Samiullah Beg, Sheikh Mohd. Habibullah and eight other prominent Muslims of Lucknow as members of the Committee. While the Science-Tech is one of the premier institutes of Lucknow dedicated to organize various academic activities like conferences, seminars, workshops and training programmes in collaboration with many national & international organizations and Institute have own Publication house and Journals’ to be published Edited books, Course books and research papers. The institute is run by Manraj Kunwar Singh Educational Society, Lucknow.
The Organizing Committee had eminent advisors like Prof. Purusottam Chakraborty (Visiting Professor Rutgers the State University of New Jersey, USA, Former Senior Professor, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics), Prof. D.K Sharma (University of Maryland, USA), Prof. O. P. Yadav (North Dakota State University, USA), Dr. Akansha Singh (Durham University, U K) and other dignitaries. Keynote/Invited speeches were delivered by Prof.N.B. Singh (Emeritus Professor, Sharda University), Prof. Anil Mishra (Lucknow University), Dr. Sheo Kumar Mishra (Indira Gandhi National Tribal University), Prof.Mainak Ghosal (Consultant), Prof. Ranjana Jha (Netaji Subhas University of Technology), Dr.D.K. Yadav (Dept. of Statistics & Demography, NIHFW, Delhi), Dr. Priyanka Singh (King George’s Medical University, Lucknow) and other learned speakers.
The Conference was ended by announcing the Global Academic Research Excellence Awards-21 based on the specific research and publications of the candidates. Out of 50 numerous applicants especially in the Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Humanities and Arts, NCAIR-2021 Committee members have selected 16 best Research Profiles for the respective awards. TheBest Researcher on Nanotechnology/Nanomaterials/Nanoscience was awarded to Prof.Mainak Ghosal in the National Conference on Advancements in Interdisciplinary Research (NCAIR-2021) (July 29 – 31, 2021) Lucknow, India. An e-Proceedings were published commemorating the National Conference.
Prof. Ghosal is presently serving as Hon’ry Secretary of Consulting Engineers Association of India (Kolkata Region), Governing Council Member of Indian Association of Structural Engineers, and Joint Secretary, Coal Ash Institute of India beside remaining active member in other organisations like IEI, ICI, India Chapter of ACI, IBC, ISC & IASE.He has more than 23 years of Industrial experience in private and public sectors in various capacities and 5 years of Academic Recognition in Teaching in Engineering Colleges. Has Supervised and Inspected over 30 nos. Govt. infrastructural projects & signed over 1500 Technical Reports for Govt.
Has over 60 Paper Publications (including 5 Book Chapters published by Bloomsbury Publishers, River Publishers & CRC Press) as the Lead Author in National & International Journals, Seminars, and Conferences, indexed in all leading databases including Scopus & Google Scholar citation. Has delivered over 23 Invited Lectures including Keynotes at various National/International Seminars/Conferences. Reviewer of technical papers in peer-reviewed Journals, empanelled Valuer in Public/Pvt. Banks & also provides structural consultancy/audit in ULB/MSME sectors.
