1. Prep your lips
It is important for your lips to be smooth because your lip liner has a small tip that can’t glide over patchy lips smoothly. Put sugar and honey on your toothbrush and gently exfoliate it. Use a lip balm post this, but make sure you pat off the excess balm on your lips.
2. Make sure the lip liner and lip colour are of the same family
The lip liner should be darker but shouldn’t be contrasting either. If you are wearing red lipstick then use a brick coloured lip liner. Use brown lip liner with beige lips and dark purple with mauve.
3. Line your lips and later fill it with your lipcolour
Outline your lips by following the natural lip line and then fill it with your lipstick. You can also make it glossy which will be a welcome change from how it used to be in the ’90s.
