International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8th March annually. Insolvency and
Bankruptcy Board of India is celebrating this occasion by organising a half day Seminar on the lines of this year’s United Nations theme “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world” on Monday, the 8th March, 2021.
Equality is not only a women’s issue, but it has socio-economic consequences. Gender equality is sine qua non for economic progress of communities. A gender equal world is healthier, wealthier, and essential for harmonious co-existence. The increasing presence of women in new professions such as Insolvency Profession and Valuer Profession is another testimony of women’s empowerment in the country. The seminar will discuss the challenges faced by women in these new, thriving professions.
